Chinese Peasant Painting

Nine Gold Fish

The meaning of the fish standing for with abundanceeach year comes from a Chinese idiom "nian nian you yu". Chinese people always think nine is the largest number, and the pronunciation Jiu is the same as long, forever. This nine fish scroll is the best blessing for having abundance in your life.

I have painted it on a canvas board using poster colors.

Nice effort. Though you call them gold fish they are painted in a very loud red. Perhaps in the next effort, gold colour can be used which will enhance the painting.
Good Luck.

The different angles in which the fish are swimming and the ripples makes it look like a real aquarium... Could have added more details to it like seaweeds etc.
